Marina del Rey Condominiums
Marina del Rey, CA
PWI completed a full renovation of an existing 1970s era apartment building. The building sits on the sand in Marina Del Rey, and was converted to luxury condominiums. The building was stripped to the bones, then the structure and its foundations were upgraded to comply with the current rigorous seismic codes.
All new infrastructure, fixtures, floors, wall soundproofing, security and luxury features were installed. The entire project was completed in accordance with sustainable "green" construction, including high recycled content floor and wall sheathing, formaldehyde free cabinetry plywood, high efficiency in-slab Hydronic heating system, compact fluorescent lighting, Energy Star rated appliances, low VOC paints, digital thermostats, energy efficient water heaters and heat exchangers, windows and doors with low-E glass and recycled glass tiles. The 70s style exterior was transformed into a Pacific Rim modern pallet that reflects current Los Angeles style.
